A note from Michelle...
I can't believe it's already November! This year is flying by! October was a quiet month, thankfully. However, I do all the fun fall activities we did together when my daughter was little. So far, we've kept the tradition of visiting the local pumpkin patch, riding the hayride, and winding our way through the corn maze.
November will be busy. We're hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for my mother-in-law and her brother this year, so my goal is to get our pantry doors painted and maybe the dining room walls. I may need you to hold me accountable for that!
We've lived in our house for two years now, and the kitchen and dining room still need to be painted. There just never seems to be enough time. And when there is time, I'm too tired.
Speaking of time, do you know what time of the year it is?

October’s theme was all about reader connection—not just building an audience, but nurturing a relationship with the people who pick up your words. Whether you're writing fiction, devotionals, blog posts, or newsletters, your readers want to feel seen, valued, and invited into the journey with you.
This month, I shared five practical strategies you can start using right away to help your readers feel more connected to you and your message. These aren’t complicated, high-pressure marketing tactics—just simple, meaningful ways to show up with authenticity and care.
Here’s a quick roundup in case you missed anything:

What I'm Reading This Month
No Good Tea Goes Unpunished is Bree Baker's second book in her Seaside Cafe Mystery Series. I loved the first book so much, I knew I wanted to read the second! So far, it's a quick read that I'm enjoying. The mystery starts almost immediately!
Here's what Goodreads says about the book:
Life hasn't been so sweet for Everly Swan over the past couple of years, but now that she is back in her seaside hometown and the proud owner of a little iced tea shop and café right on the beach, things are finally starting to look up--until a curmudgeonly customer turns up dead on the boardwalk. With one of her hallmark glass tea jars lying right next to him and an autopsy that reports poison in his system, it doesn't look good for Everly or her brand-new business. As the townspeople of Charm, formerly so welcoming and homey, turn their back on Everly, she fights to dig up clues about who could have had it in for the former town councilman. With a maddeningly handsome detective discouraging her from uncovering leads and a series of anonymous attacks on Everly and her business, it will take everything she's got to keep this mystery from boiling over.
What are you reading this month? I'm always looking for books to add to my reading list.
